RuggedThe PC3030 is designed for combat vehicle applications. It is designed to MIL-STD-810F standards for shock (Method 516.5 Procedure I) and vibration (Method 514.5, Category 13, 14, 20, 24) for tracked vehicle applications and is rated for conduction cooled operation at temperatures between -46C and +85C at the card edge. Dual Core PerformanceThe PC3030 provides best-in-class performance coupled with best-in-class I/O capabilities. Mated to the 2.26GHz Core™2 Duo processor is Intel's GS45/ICH9M chipset providing the PC3030 a full featured I/O set including 2x GigE, 2x eSATA, 3x USB 2.0 , 2x Serial, and stereo audio. The PC3030 implements Intel's VT-x and VT-d Virtualization Technology. These technologies enable the simultaneous secure execution of two operating systems with one processor core dedicated to each. With software support, this includes the ability to run both a real-time and a high-level operating system on one PC3030 at the same time. Improved Manageability & DiagnosticsThe PC3030 implements an IPMI 1.5 compatible management controller implementing the VITA 46.11 command set. This provides the ability to control or read the card's status (temperatures, voltages, errors, system state) remotely via the IPMB. Integrated Graphics ControllerThe PC3030 includes the Intel X4500HD graphics engine providing 3D enhancements and support for Microsoft DirectX 10 and OpenGL 2.0. The PC3030 provides analog RGB directly and with the addition of a simple level-shifter XMS can provide dual DVI output.
Low Power ConsumptionWhen equipped with the 1.86 GHz dual-core processor and 8 GB of RAM the PC3030 consumes a low nominal power of 25W. With a 1.2 GHz ultra-low-voltage dual-core processor a configuration with a nominal power of 21W is possible. Flexible Mezzanine ExpansionThe PC3030's mezzanine site provides a flexible means of adding additional functionality to the base card. It is provided with a rich set of connections to the core chipset including 4-lane PCI Express, 2 x DVI, USB, SATA, and LPC. The XMS site brings 8 high speed differential pairs and 4 single ended signals to the backplane to meet users customized I/O requirements. CustomizableAll GD Canada SBCs are available in an as-listed configuration or in user-defined configurations. Pinouts, processor speeds, memory configurations, and BIOS customizations are all available. Backwards CompatibleThe PC3030 is pin compatible with all previous GD Canada 3U cPCI single board computers. ![]()
