Rugged
The PE7110 is designed specifically for combat vehicle applications. It is qualified to MIL-STD-810F standards for shock (Method 516.5, Procedure I) and vibration (Method 514.5, Category 13,14,20,24).It is suitable for fixed wing, rotary wing, wheeled or tracked vehicle applications and is rated for conduction cooled operation at ambient temperatures between -46C and +71C.
High Performance Computing
The PE7110's dual core Intel processor provides best-in-class performance. Mated to the Core™2 Duo processor is Intel's 945GM / ICH7 chipset providing full featured I/O including 2x USB 2.0 , 2x GigE, 6x Serial, stereo audio, and GPIO.
Additionally, the Core 2 Duo processor implements Intel's Virtualization Technology (VT-x), allowing for operating system virtualization; meaning that two operating systems can be run simultaneously on the card with one core dedicated to each.
High Performance Graphics
The PE7110 can be configured to use the chipset’s integrated graphics controller for applications whose graphics requirements are not severe or, for applications whose graphics requirements are more demanding, the PE7110 can be configured with an ATI Radeon® HD2400 OR an NVIDIA 8600M GT.
Flexible Video Options
The PE7110 standard configuration provides CRT, TV-Out (NTSC or PAL), or DVI video output.
The PE7110 can be configured to support an SVGA input that can be mixed with the on-board computer video to provide a split screen or picture-in-picture configuration to be outboard video monitor. The PE7110 can also be configured to accept 4x RS170 video input streams that can be captured at 30 fps at VGA resolution then compressed in real time (MJPEG or MPEG4) for distribution over the network.
Flexible Storage Options
The PE7110 provides options for populating an internal CompactFlash site and field-removable solid state flash disk. Either or both of these devices may be populated.
Low Power Consumption
When equipped with the high performance graphics option, the PE7110 maximum power consumption is 60 W. Without the high performance graphics option the maximum power consumption of the PE7110 is 40 W.
Internal Expansion
The PE7110 provides standard form factor expansion sites internally including PCMCIA, PMC and PCI-express mini-card. There is one custom mezzanine site available that provides PCI-E x1, USB 2.0 and GigE interfaces.
Value-Added Options
The PE7110 optionally implements three value-added interface features:
- MIL-STD-1553
- CANBus
- Analog Video Capture / Compression / Network Distribution
Customizable
The PE7110 enclosure, bezel buttons, indicators and connector style and orientation can be modified to suit individual requirements.
