Integrated Sonar Suite

General Dynamics Canada offers an open architecture modular multi-sensor fully integrated sonar suite suitable for all classes of ships and submarines. The architecture is scalable allowing easy customization of the sensors required for the application. Sensors include all or combinations of:

• Passive Towed Array Sonar – full spectrum coverage with high dynamic range
• Active/Passive Towed Array Sonar – multi-static operation in a single tow
• Hull Mounted Sonar – Frequency hopped FM, PM and CW
• Variable Depth Sonar – Frequency hopped FM, PM and CW
• Remote Operated Vehicles (ROV) with detection and classification sonars
• Sonobuoy Processors
• Ancillary Sensors and capabilities such as underwater telephone, acoustic positioning, and beacon systems for ROVs, Underwater Environmental Modeling and visualization, and own ship noise monitoring.

All functions and displays are available from all workstations. Uniform operating procedures and user interfaces minimizes operator workload and full raw data recording is done for post analysis.
