PM Processes

General Dynamics Canada is a Registered Education Provider with the Project Management Institute and has over 100 Project Management Professionals on its staff. Projects executed at GD Canada follow an integrated development and project management process that incorporates industry best practices and has been successfully appraised against Capability Maturity Model, Integration and Project Management Body of Knowledge models. The PM process areas are monitored and evolved through Program Management Office operations and are the subject of continual improvement and refinement through lessons learned. With a strong focus on team centred PM activities in which the customer is key and lasting relationships are built which enable repeated project success to be achieved.

Subcontract Management

GD Canada has successfully managed many hundreds of subcontracts of all sizes and carries a large number of experienced Subcontract and Product Managers on staff. Full contracts and infrastructure support is provided and specialist staff are available that are familiar with export, legal and regulatory requirements in the many countries that GD Canada services. Subcontractor performance is tightly integrated into Earned Value and Risk Management on projects to ensure that requirements are satisfied and a strong sense of teamwork with suppliers is emphasized throughout.
