The UYS-504 family of sonobuoy acoustic processors leverages the latest advances in concurrent parallel processing to provide a state-of-theart capability for fi xed wing, rotary wing, naval and ground platforms. It provides the operator with the capability to detect, localise, classify and track surface and sub-surface targets.
Along with building on established passive and active processing capabilities proven operationally over many years it also provides new advanced capabilities to support the detection of quiet targets in challenging conditions.
Acoustic Technology Evolution
General Dynamics Canada has taken an evolutionary approach to the development of its acoustic processor mission system. Research and development efforts have introduced a number of industry-leading innovations.
