The Support Engineering Services group has a proven track record in the provision of services and staff capable of providing subject matter expertise to GD Canada projects in the following areas:
- Integrated Logistics Support: The Support Engineering Services group performs tailored Integrated Logistics Support programs for both small and large scale projects. We ensure that a structured method of analysing the support implications of items of equipment and systems is employed as they are being developed by GD Canada, with the aim of influencing mission and support system design that optimizes the life cycle costs of delivered systems to our customers.
- Training and Training Equipment: GD Canada is committed to ensuring that trained and qualified operators and maintainers can support equipment/systems developed by GD Canada when delivered into service. Starting with Training Needs Analysis, the Support Engineering Services group uses its highly experienced team of training developers to establish requirements for training customer operator and support personnel. Using an extensive suite of multimedia and training development tools, GD Canada is able to deliver comprehensive courseware for traditional and Computer-Based Training solutions.
- Obsolescence Management: In keeping with the increasing pace of technological change GD Canada employs a proactive obsolescence management process to equipment/systems developed by GD Canada in order to identify and notify internal and external customers of obsolescence issues, to determine the scope of the problem and systems affected and to generate solutions to the problem for customer consideration.
- Support System Modelling and Simulation: The complexity and magnitude of the systems developed by GD Canada require innovative and diverse support solutions. The Support Engineering Services group is capable of carrying out intricate support system analysis, modelling and simulation services in support of the development of support system solutions for the C3 and C4ISR systems developed at GD Canada.
- Comprehensive Customer Support Services: The ongoing commitment GD Canada offers to its customers is without equal. The Support Engineering Services group is committed to supporting customers once systems are fielded through the provision of performance-based repair and overhaul services, warranty management services, deployment of Field Service Representatives, help desk support and defect reporting and corrective action systems.
At GD Canada, Support Engineering Services experts are an integral part of all programs as part of cross-discipline integrated teams. They ensure that GD Canada systems are capable of being sustained in the real world and across the full spectrum of operations.
