Underwater Acoustic Processing
General Dynamics Canada has over 40 years of experience in the development and production of airborne sonobuoy and naval sonar systems worldwide. From the delivery of acoustic software modules to large scale integration of ship sonar systems such as the Hydra system for the Swedish Visby Class Corvette, General Dynamics Canada successfully works with customers to satisfy their unique requirements.
Experience delivering systems for various platforms and countries has required a flexible and adaptive approach to product development. A legacy of successful installations and operational histories provides the foundation for low-risk solutions to meet the needs of present day customers.
General Dynamics Canada is committed to the success of its products throughout their service history. We work with our customers to provide training, custom development, and long-term in-service support for our products.
Increased Flexibility
General Dynamics Canada is able to leverage its common core of acoustic processing software and open architecture framework into a suite of related products that support the entire spectrum of a maritime mission. From operator training through to the post mission analysis of acoustic data, our products seamlessly enable a force to provide an effective defence in the underwater domain.

As a result of our open architecture software design approach and the capabilities of current COTS hardware, General Dynamics Canada can package our mission system capabilities in various forms to suit any requirement. Our products can be cost-effectively tailored for any environment, from commercial PC platforms all the way to military ruggedized mission systems.
Furthermore, we can now offer our industry leading functional modules to customers who wish to run them on their own open architecture sonobuoy processing system. This enables an upgrade path that avoids the risk and cost of a new development project.
